Dom, Chuck and Ivan moved me from my family home to my a little bit smaller forever home. They were very fun to work with, conscientious, and communicated well. The move went smoothly and they made a stressful time easy, quick, satisfying... my new house was ready enough to have dinner guests the night of the move to come celebrate with me.... This is a little bit on me because I left to go have a bite to eat as they were wrapping up at the old house, and told them all was good. The next day I realized that they forgot a bunch of boxes ... all my heavy books ... in a closet. I had seen them move a couple of the boxes so assumed they'd finished so signed off that it was all done... other than that, I have no complaints and highly recommend Sparta and Dom and his team in particular! Thank you!

I chose Sparta for my move from a family home of over 50 years to a condo. Ryan, Matt and Andre arrived on time and after Ryan assessed the home, they got right to work. First laying down runners to protect the floor. They then proceeded to remove all of the items to be moved. It was done with care. They made a stop on the way to the condo to drop off an upright freezer at my sons. At the condo their efficiency showed as there was only one elevator in service and it had to be shared with other tenants. They did this with a smile but still got the move in done. Would I recommend Sparta? Yes, yes and yes.

Definitely the best movers we’ve had and we’ve moved a lot. Ryan and his crew Andre, Karim, and Artem were amazing! They arrived right on time and got to work right away, started the day with a smile and ended the 14 hour move with a smile. All our furniture was very well protected and wrapped up and got to our new house perfectly. Everyone was super careful with the furniture as well as around the house. They were an extremely hard working crew and would definitely recommend them and Sparta Movers to anyone we know. Again, huge thanks to Ryan and his crew!!

We used Sparta for our move this past weekend that saw record low temperatures in Calgary. The crew of 3 was amazing - regardless of the cold weather they were kind, hardworking, and ensured they wrapped and cared for each piece of furniture. We had to store our things with Sparta overnight and the crew even went the extra mile of bringing our tv into their warehouse so it wouldn't get damaged from the cold. The whole crew was incredible, but Ryan really stood out. He made sure everything was done right and made it stress free. It was a great experience and I highly recommend using this company.

We used Sparta Movers to move the contents of our church, including 20 pews, into containers in preparation for a renovation. The crew of 4 were exceptional. They were professional and courteous at all times. They were careful, and arranged the items in the containers with impressive skill. They worked like a well-oiled machine and finished the job with efficiency. Our quote was very accurate, and we appreciated the thoughtful recommendations made in our initial discussions. We are so glad we chose Sparta Movers!

This was my first time hiring movers and they were absolutely amazing! My initial contact was with Angela, who was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and helpful estimating the cost (which ended up being very accurate, with no hidden costs). She gave tips on packing and was responsive to my additional questions. Move day was a welcome surprise! It was smooth, efficient and seamless, thanks to Dominic, Chuck, Ivan and Tim! This great team showed up on time, got started straight away, padded furniture well and had us loaded up and on our way to our new house in no time. The unload was also super smooth, with nothing for me to worry about (other than where to put the mountains of boxes that kept coming off the truck ha!). Their organized process, strong teamwork and humorous personalities made our moving day a lot more fun than we expected. Thanks for your hard work, your experience and your commitment to caring for our belongings and our new home. There wasn’t a knick, bump or scratch on our newly painted walls. Thanks team! You rock! I would hire you again, but I’m never moving again..

I had a HORRIBLE moving experience with another international moving company! Although they "claim" to be experienced, they had NO CLUE that I needed a permit for my international domestic move and it all went horribly sideways!! I called Dale at Sparta and INSTANTLY he gave me accurate and clear answers and directed me to the proper people. Everyone he dealt with was so friendly and knowledgeable. Dale even kept in touch through my horrible process to see if I needed anything. I finally used Sparta to clean up the mess I was in, and Dale was just so caring! He was booked when I needed his services, but found people to make it work in a pinch so he could help me, and those people were also so caring! DALE, SPARTA, AND ALL HIS CONTACTS ARE JUST REALLY AMAZING AND I HAVE NOTHING BUT AWESOME THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THEM!!! THANKS SO MUCH TO EVERYONE FOR HELPING ME IN A PINCH!!

The entire experience with Sparta was seamless. Right from my initial communication with Michael, the moving advisor, to Angie, who packed, and Ryan and his team who did all the heavy lifting their professionalism, communication and work ethic was exceptional. Moving is never easy but they definitely reduced the stress. Loved the online portal where I could adjust my inventory and it’s all very transparent as to costs, materials needed, and estimated times. Michael was so helpful and patient answering all my questions and adjusting the estimate as needed. It was nice to see Angie and Ryan patiently mentoring and teaching the new guys. Highly recommend them. Next time I’ll get them to do the entire pack instead of just a partial. They are so efficient!

I would definitely recommend Sparta Movers! We received a few different quotes from moving companies before we settled on Sparta because of their fair and reasonable quote, timely communication, and professionalism. They gave a very accurate quote and we’re very responsive for any questions we may have had ahead of the move. On move day the team was on time and were amazing! They were extremely polite and very efficient. They stored our furniture for a few days as well before unloading to our new house and everything arrived in perfect condition. Dominic, Zeke, and Chuck were punctual, professional, efficient, and careful. Their communication skills were excellent. They made us feel comfortable and worked well as a team to ensure that our move was completed in a timely manner and took great care to wrap everything, even the items we weren't too bothered about.Dale was out initial point of contact and he was also excellent; he helped us to get our move booked on short notice and was transparent about the entire process up front. We would highly recommend this company to others!!! 5 STARS!!!

After researching eight moving companies and multiple other moving options for the move our daughter was making from Montreal to Calgary, the decision was easily made with peace of mind to work with Sparta Movers and their partner Great Canadian Van Lines. Angela, our consultant, patiently educated me about how the move would work, redid the inventory numerous times with me as it was refined to get the most accurate estimate and walked me through every step. After numerous phone and email communications I felt I had started with the best company for us. The load came off the truck this week and we are so grateful for the experience we had which began with Sparta Movers. Thank you Angela.

Just completed a move from Diamond Valley to Calgary on February 27th and we are so happy we hired Sparta Movers Calgary to help us. This company was professional and easy to work with, starting with Michael who helped us with the inventory list, quote and supplied us with tips to make the move easier. The crew that did the move (Dom, Chuck, David and Zaed) were outstanding. They protected and handled our furniture and walls with great care. All this and they were very personable with a great sense of humour. The crew worked so hard and finished in less time than quoted saving us some cost. We have already recommended Sparta Movers to another person and would definitely hire them again for our next move.

The whole team at Sparta were great to deal with. Having used different movers in the past, I was a bit skeptical. However, Michael was responsive and answered my questions when setting up the quote and in touch with me all the way to the move date. The team that showed up that day were great. Dom and his team were on time, took care and time to wrap and protect everything, and still moved with speed to get the truck packed. When we arrived Dom walked me through liability regarding certain pieces as the stairwells and turns were pretty tight. Still, the communication between Dom, Chuck and Zayeed was great and they managed to get everything up the flights of stairs with no damage. I wouldn't hesitate to call on these guys again and appreciate the care they took with the move.

Been waiting until the delivery out east and it went off without a hitch today. Nothing was damaged at all and their service at the delivery was excellent so I can finally get to write a review to rave about the entire experience.Normally, moving sucks. I've done it a lot, a couple times across country. I can accurately say there hasn't been a single experience as great as this one has been. From the very first email asking for a quote (thank you Michael!!) customer service has been exceptional! He answered all my questions quickly and easily, relieved me of all my concerns. So I booked the move.After that Emily and Taylor helped organize and schedule the pickup and delivery. They were fantastic to work with! They accommodated the issues I had with trying to get there for the pickup, as well as worked with our needs for the delivery. Everything went perfectly.Both the pickup and the delivery crews were exceptional. They were professional, quick, and were a joy to deal with. The pick up crew was very good at keeping me aware of what they were doing and going through all the paperwork for insurance etc etc.The entire experience was just amazing. So much better than I expected, and from reading other reviews, I already had high hopes.You can not go wrong in dealing with Sparta Movers or Great Canadian Van Lines. If I ever need to do this kind of move again I will definitely be contacting them!!

Ours was a 2 day job due to distance. We can't stress enough how absolutely amazing the Sparta team was! Right from the get-go the quotation process was unbelievable! We knew we were getting a proper quote and there would be no surprises. The moving team, both for loading and unloading, were polite, efficient, and had a good sense of humour too! Everything went faster than expected!We've used others in the past but they do not even come close to what we experienced the past 2 days! Amazing job guys! We are very thankful for all your hard work....especially on those stupid stairs! 😂Highly, highly recommend Sparta!

These guys were easy to spend the day with, very personable and they didn’t take their foot off the gas pedal until the job was complete.But I think the best part about this company is their genuine honesty. From my first phone call for advice up until the movers left, everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful and professional. Angela provided straight forward advice and helped me make important decisions about my move. She send a ton of resources; information about how to pack and what to clean, checklists and more information than I thought I needed. And she patiently answered all my questions. The movers showed up on time and ready to work hard. And work hard they did. The were friendly, professional and always made sure that everything was the way I wanted it. Even before they left they made sure that everything was set up in a way that made sense for me. I recommend Sparta Movers with no hesitation.

I was a pain-in-the-butt customer. I know that. I asked for quotes from 10 different companies to move a very specific list of items. The quotes I got back varied wildly, some doubling others. I picked 3 companies who had better responses than the others (not necessarily cheaper, but seemingly more interested in winning my business) and continued pressing for more accurate quotes. I found that Sparta went above and beyond to earn my business and I was satisfied with the final quote. The actual move was like clock-work, even finishing earlier and further reducing the costs of the service. The guys were super friendly, hard working and careful, and even moved a couple of items that unexpectedly came up without even a hint of complaint. A great experience overall. I'd highly recommend Sparta for your moving needs.

It's hard to write a positive review if you're giving 5 stars because will think there must be some ulterior motive. But we used Sparta and they were great. Actually we had 3 hard workig fellows who woud happily pause holding huge loads and ask where we would like them placed. You'd think they were moving giant Faberge eggs they were so careful. Nothing got scratched dropped dented or anything. The guys never took a break and actually finished ahead of schedule and I paid less than the estimate. I recommended them to family who were equally pleased with the service. Having previously experienced a bad move this was a happy change. We wil look forward to using them again. They are cheerful, and seem to genuinely happy to be t work. They actually treated our possessions as if they were there own. Use these movers.

Great experience using Sparta Movers. After a referral from a friend at work, I decided to use Sparta as the company to move us. From the first email, everything was as professional as you could ask for. On the day of the move, i received a call from the workers and they advised me that they were doing truck checks and once that was completed they would make their way to our house. They were right on time, looked over all of our belongings and then read our contract out to us, showed it to us and then had us sign it. The moment that was done, they got to work and I couldn't be more impressed. The guys had our stuff in the truck so well stacked that every inch of the truck was used and all of our things fit.To deliver to our new house the truck had to be on a two lane undivided highway and during that trip a car tried to make a pass of 6 other vehicles causing the moving truck to partially hit the ditch. They handled the situation very well. Upon arrival we checked for any damage and if anything had shifted. To our surprise, we lost one tequila bottle through it all. And we aren't even sure if that happened during the transit. Everything else stayed in place and was unharmed. The guys had our house of 3 bedroom and 2 levels loaded and unloaded in 5 hours.Well worth it and cannot give these guys enough praise. The price is very comparable to all other companies and I think you need to look beyond price.
